Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, who replaces iconic actor Amitabh Bachchan, as the host of a popular quiz show said yesterday he was doubtful whether he could match up to Bachchan’s charisma.
The decision to replace Khan as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati or KBC — the Indian version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire — came last week after Bachchan, 64, expressed his inability to host the show after undergoing stomach surgery. “I am not sure whether I’ll be able to do what Bachchan has done but I’ll certainly try and do justice to the job,” Khan, 41, said during the launch of the third series of the show.
The hit show, which is broadcast by Rupert Murdoch’s Star Network, will air the new series featuring Khan from mid-January next year,
